About Us

First of all, welcome to our page! We are excited that you have found us 🙂

We are Sonya, Timo, Pey and Bear, an Australian and German couple – together with our Australian and Romanian dogs – who met while travelling overseas. Life has brought us together through a shared love for adventure, nature, and exploring new places. After spending several years living together in Australia and working in often stressful jobs — from long office hours to demanding shift work — we realised we wanted a different way of life.

For years, we dreamed, planned, and saved for a bigger overseas adventure, and eventually that dream became a reality. Van life was completely new to us, and building our own home on wheels came with plenty of trial and error along the way. But stepping into the unknown was exactly what we needed.

We both felt stuck in the routine of everyday life and wanted to experience something more meaningful, exciting, and connected to the outdoors. Leaving behind our careers and familiar routines was not always easy, and there were definitely moments of uncertainty and nerves, but we are incredibly grateful that we took the leap and turned something we had talked about for so long into reality.

Now we spend our days exploring new places, chasing nature, and learning as we go — together with our dogs Pey and Bear by our side.
